Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!! We celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday today with a visit with two very special dogs! Ellie and Dixie came to school to visit with us today! Ellie and Dixie are therapy dogs with Hand-In-Paw. Also joining Ellie and Dixie were Mr. and Mrs. Moon who are Mrs. Sizemore's parents! Each child had a great time reading with Dixie and Ellie!!!! Thanks for coming to school!

Our "Sweet Home Alabama" projects look just fantastic! We will begin to share these in class this week. We will be learning all about our great state this week. Do you know where the name Alabama came from? We do!

What a wonderful Valentine's Day party we had in our classroom. We had yummy snacks and played some fun games. We enjoyed looking at everyone's Valentine's boxes that they had created at home. Thanks to our room mom for a great day!

Our interactive classroom continues to be a fun and exciting adventure each day! This month we've enjoyed learning how to use our Activotes! Each student has their own handheld device in which they can register their answer on their Activote. This allows every student to participate in learning! We've also been live iChatting with our new friends in Gretna, Nebraska each Friday! We're learning how different the weather is and lots of neat stuff about Nebraska!

The month of January was filled with cold and rainy days! We spent a lot of time indoors in our classroom. Here's some pictures of us reading. We've also learned how to use different components of the interactive classroom. We love being able to actively engaged in lessons that our teacher prepares for us daily! We love being able to participate and sometimes even teach the other kids in our class!
